Silicon Republic reports that Moonshot AI has temporarily paused new subscriptions after demand for Kimi K3 pushed it close to capacity. In a post on Monday the company said the model had received far more interest than expected and that it was prioritising compute for existing members, adding it will split subscriptions into plans to manage capacity better in future. The pause is a good problem to have, and an expensive one. Bloomberg has reported Moonshot plans to go public in as little as six months, and Silicon Republic says the three-year-old startup is closing a round that could value it above $30bn. Rival DeepSeek is reportedly seeking a $74bn valuation ahead of its own listing.
