SiliconANGLE reports that security firm Sophos unveiled Fusion, an AI-native platform that unifies its security tools, on July 15, alongside Sophos AI Defense. The AI Defense piece is aimed at a fast-growing headache: it shows organizations which AI apps their staff are actually using, including unsanctioned 'shadow AI', and controls what company data those apps can reach. Sophos says AI Defense enters early access in August and reaches general availability in October. The launch reflects mounting corporate anxiety about employees pasting sensitive data into consumer chatbots faster than IT teams can track it. For workers, expect more visibility, and more guardrails, around which AI tools you are allowed to use on the job.
