According to Windows Report, OpenAI has released GPT-Live-1 through its API, giving developers the voice technology behind the newest ChatGPT Voice. The point of it is full-duplex conversation: the model listens and speaks at the same time, so you can interrupt it mid-sentence and it keeps processing. It also splits roles, handling the talking while a separate backend model does the heavy reasoning, which means a voice agent can keep a conversation going while something else finishes a task in the background. The front-end voice layer costs $0.05 per minute, with backend models billed separately. Twelve new voices ship with it, and telephony integrations are supported.
