Agent SDK calls, the claude -p command, Claude Code GitHub Actions, and third-party agent applications now draw from a dedicated monthly credit pool instead of sharing the Pro, Max, or Team subscription allotment. Credit amounts are approximately $20 per month for Pro, $100 for Max 5x, and $200 for Max 20x, billed at standard API rates. Credits are per-user, refresh monthly with the billing cycle, and do not roll over. Overflow billing must be explicitly enabled to avoid automated requests stopping when credits run out. Developers running Claude Code in CI pipelines or production agent workflows are most directly affected.
