The Wall Street Journal, as reported by Investing.com, says OpenAI has acquired Glass Imaging, a Los Altos startup founded by former Apple engineers Ziv Attar and Tom Bishop, in a deal valuing it at over $300 million — roughly triple its valuation a year ago. Glass builds a neural image signal processor that corrects lens aberrations, sensor imperfections and low-light noise, aiming to push smartphone photos closer to DSLR quality. OpenAI has not detailed its integration plans. The purchase follows other recent acquisitions and lands amid reporting that the company is working on some form of AI hardware.
