TechCrunch reports that Neko Health, the body-scanning startup co-founded by Spotify's Daniel Ek, has raised a $700 million Series C led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. The round values the Swedish company at nearly $7 billion, roughly four times its early-2025 Series B, and will fund a US expansion starting with New York. Neko offers a 60-minute, radiation-free full-body scan paired with bloodwork, generating millions of data points to flag risks tied to heart disease, stroke and metabolic health. It designs its hardware, software and clinical protocols in-house. The pitch is preventive medicine at scale; the open question is whether AI-driven screening delivers better outcomes rather than just more data.
