OpenAI's release notes show ChatGPT receiving several updates in quick succession. Memory has been upgraded for Plus and Pro subscribers: the system now keeps context fresher with automatic updates and holds twice as much information as before. The rollout is starting in the US and expanding to more plans and countries soon.
Also rolling out is Trusted Contact, an optional safety feature that lets users designate someone to be notified in serious situations involving suicide-related safety concerns, available for eligible personal accounts in supported regions.
A third update called Active Sessions gives users a way to review all login sessions associated with their account and sign out of any they do not recognize.
Together, the updates suggest OpenAI is broadening its approach to ChatGPT as a platform — balancing capability improvements with user safety and account security.
